Antique 19th century German solid silver large hunting presentation box in a later fitted case, good size and impressive weight, richly gilt, of oval form in the style of the 16th Century examples, the border embossed with scrolling foliage and the centre is finely chased with a magnificent hunting scene, probably depicting the Emperor Maximilian on horseback and his dogs killing a stag.
