Child’s Scottish Orkney Chair
Born on the Orkney Island located near the northern tip of Scotland, this child’s armchair charms with its rustic appearance.
Orkney Chairs at first were nothing more than a low round stool covered with straw. The curved back, slightly reminiscent of wingback chairs, was meant to protect whoever was sitting in the chair from the cold winds of the North Sea.
