Early 20th Century Ceramic Corinthian Column Table Lamp
This imposing classical designed table lamp dates from the early 20th century and is one of the earliest examples of electrified lighting soon after the First World War.
The lamp is believed to be English porcelain from one of the major factories, such as Derby, Coalport or Worcester, but no marks can be found.
Provenence:
Purchased from the estate of the late Mary Llewellin in 1983.
The wife of Lord Llewellin who died in 1961. They owned and lived in Upton House, which after her death was bequeathed to Poole Council. She then moved to White Lovington in Bere Regis, from where this lamp was purchased.
