William Francis Greenwood & Sons were established in the 19th century as furniture makers in York, established in 1829.
They had a branch at 86 Newbrough Street, and at 26 Huntriss Row, Scarborough by 1880, they were Cabinet Maker, Upholsterer, Dealers in Ancient Furniture, Works of Art, Old China, Bronzes and Curiosities’; they relinquished their Scarborough business in 1890 and in the 1890s the business opened a branch at 112 New Bond Street, London.
The firm also had a branch in Lord Street, Southport, in the 1890s.
