An early French couture tassel necklace created by Robert Goossens for Chanel.
Our final picture shows an almost identical necklace constructed with green Gripoix Glass elements.
Although unsigned, this beautiful piece is typical of the work of Robert Goossens, who produced these designs between 1955 and 1971 for Chanel.
Up to 250 different designs in this chain and tassel style were made by Goossens for Chanel (Ginger Moro, European Designer Jewelry, Schiffer Publishing).
Length of 16 inch with 5 inch drop.

This multi-chain necklace of gilded brass chains and filigree elements is set with green faceted (cut and polished) glass beads and glass baroque pearls with a central multi-chain tassel, again set with faceted green glass drops and glass baroque pearls.
The tiny box clasp has pierced open work.
