About this product
Woven in western Anatolia at the end of the 19th century, this fine Oushak carpet displays all the qualities and finesse that appeal to modern decorators and their clients. The pale green background is decorated with a restrained repeat design of stylised floral forms and geometric ornaments. The secondary colours include a delicate shade of pink, yellows and a terracotta red while the border is ivory. The overall composition is both harmonious and eye-catching at the same time. Woven with a very soft wool, this carpet feels very cosy underfoot which would make it ideal for a bedroom as well as for living spaces. The carpet has survived the generations well. The ends and sides are intact, and the pile is generally good. There are a few minor old repairs which have been executed to a high standard. Professionally cleaned and ready for immediate use.
