Gorgeous oval French gratin dish in gleaming copper lined with tin, with brass ring handles. Possibly antique. Perfect for either ornamental or practical usage.

Copper is the best conductor of heat of any metal as it distibutes heat evenly. Copper pots and pans are lined with tin so acidic foods (eg tomato based) do not react with copper.

This dish is in lovely condition still with plenty of use left.
