A small version of this beautiful hanging pendant light from the ‘Futura’ range which is also more commonly called ‘Wave’ which was manufactured in Germany by Peill & Putzler during the 1970s. The three wave clear ribbed glass is suspended from a chrome bulb-holder fitting and black flex with a matching black plastic ceiling cup.
The light is in very good condition with some small barely noticeable scratches to the exterior clear glass in places. The light requires a single E27 Edison screw in lightbulb. We would recommend a chrome capped lightbulb (as shown in the images) which will reflect the light through the shade and off the reflective chrome build-holder above. Chrome capped lightbulbs in LED format are now available which are energy saving and have a longer life.
Rewired and in full working order. The maker’s label is still present on the inside of the chrome plate.

Mid-Century “Futura” Wave Peill and Putzler Chrome and Glass Pendant.
A very unusual design with three ‘waves’ of ribbed glass on the inside contrasting against clear smooth glass on the outside. This space age futuristic light is a design classic having won a number of awards including the IF design award in 1975.
