Midcentury Peill and Putzler Flush Mount Ceiling or Wall Light C1970
The circular glass shade is secured to the aluminium fitting with a bolt in the centre which sits inside the decorative chrome knob and disc. Â Two E27 screw in bulbs sit within the shade facing in opposite directions in order to evenly distribute the light.
The design is wonderful with sandblasted oval-shaped lozenges which get smaller towards the middle – “ever decreasing lozenges” with the smallest one creating a flower around the chrome disc. Â We have seen this light attributed to Kalmar Lighting and Glashutte Limburg but We are pretty certain it’s Peill & Putzler.
