About this product
‘North West’ refers to a myriad group of villages with weaving styles borrowed from a range of influences from different regions which were combined to form unmistakably unique pieces. These rugs also bore tribal interpretations of sophisticated workshop weavings.
This early 20th Century North West Persian rug has pleasant design characteristics that is derived from rare 19th century Perpedil rugs from the neighboring Caucasus. The muted grey colour field contrasts beautifully with the artistic drawing, framed nicely by several borders.
In very good preserved condition for every day use, still retaining its original borders and fringes on all sides.
