About this product
Victorian Ebonised Child’s Chair with Mother of Pearl Inlay, England Circa 1860/1880
£195.00
A charming little papier mache chair made in the latter part of the 19th century, this child’s chair is exuberantly decorated with gilt scroll highlights and nacre-shell inlay, the flamboyant decoration with floral details. Original cane-work seat and slightly cabriole leg, it was possibly made for children or perhaps even as a travelling salesman’s example of the company’s work. A fantastic look for any traditional interior and a welcome item for any collector of Victoriana or miniature furniture.
Condition: Overall structurally sound and good condition. Please refer to photographs
Dimensions: 67cm high, 33cm wide, 33cm deep, 30cm seat height
