About this product
Victorian Hungarian Ash Bedside Cupboard
Hungarian Ash, as the name suggests is a type of ash which grew in Hungary and was exported to the UK from around 1830 onwards. Desired for its incredibly strong figuring it was widely used by Holland & Sons, as well as various other high end London cabinet making firms during the victorian period.
This particular bedside cupboard is both practical and beautiful. It boasts wonderfully figured veneers and is very good quality in terms of its construction and would add a different look to any room it is placed in.
It could be used in a whole variety of different places around the home, not just the obvious bedroom as a bedside table, as its proportions are pretty much those of a small lamp table or similar.
