very comfortable late Victorian Armchair –Made by Maple & Co.

On ring turned mahogany legs and scroll armed detail. When this piece came to us the seat had collapsed and so it was stripped back to the frame, glued and pegged ready for another forever family.
This wonderful Antique chair has a fully sprung seat and back with graded springs which creates a very comfortable pleasant seat indeed, we have then added a soft layer of wool wadding applied over the chair to create the most wonderful sumptuous feel.
Covered in a light calico, ready to be upholstered in a fabric of your choice.
Makers Mark – Maple & Co stamped on the hessian inner back cover. A very good early 19th Century Sprung back and base armchair. Originally covered in a heavy kilim rug covered with wonderful plush navy velvet and tassel trim around the base.
