A superb four-piece sideboard consisting of three cabinets (one of which with dark smoked glass doors) and one bank of drawers designed by Guido Faleschini for Hermes, France, circa 1970.

This was one of his more popular designs but this sideboard in particular is in incredible condition for its age. The black marble top contrasting beautifully with the chromed legs and the black alcantara leather or suede trim.

Hermes barely needs any introduction: it is probably the most famous firm in the world known principally for its workmanship of leather goods of the highest quality. The French luxury goods manufacturer established in 1837 specializes in leather goods, lifestyle accessories, home furnishings, perfumery, jewellery, watches and ready-to-wear items. It has had a string of notable designers over the years, including household names like Jean-Paul Gaultier.

It is incredible that it is still in such fabulous condition after so long, so elegant, so modern, and above all so stylish; as you would expect from anything Hermes.
