A vintage chatelaine brooch by the French sculptor Henry Perichon.
The gilt bronze frame and mounts is decorated with scrolled wire work and set with amethyst glass faceted stones and turquoise glass cabochons.
There are three graduated drops with amethyst and turquoise glass beads, with the outer drop set with a turquoise matrix nugget bead.
Secured with a French trombone clasp, and has a loop at the top to enable the brooch to be worn as a pendant on chain.
Length of 5.1/2 inches and 1.1/4 inch wide.
Engraved signature to the back – Henry.

Henry Perichon(1910-1971) was based in Lyon, France. Perichon created handmade, unique one of one-of-a-kind jewellery for French couturiers, combining inspiration from baroque and medieval designs. He used materials like bronze, glass and “Talosel”, a form of cellulose acetate.
